THE ROPE:

The Saber Offroad Kinetic Recovery Rope is one of the most effective recovery tools you can carry in your vehicle. Compared to tow rope chains or even a traditional snatch strap, the benefits of using a kinetic recovery rope clear as day.

The key feature that makes this kinetic recovery rope so effective is its ability to stretch. When put under load, it will stretch up to 30%, which develops many benefits during vehicle recovery.  Compared to even the best snatch straps on the market, this is over 50% more stretch.  This added stretch significantly relieves the sudden shock felt during vehicle recovery, reducing the stress on the vehicle and those inside.

With kinetic recovery ropes, some slack can be left before the recovering vehicle starts the recovery. This allows the rope to gain more momentum and therefore gaining a much higher pulling force, helping especially in very loose terrain, such as deep sand, snow or mud. Since the kinetic recovery rope excellent at absorbing shock, it will simply stretch under tension and then transfer all the energy gained from the recovering vehicle to the vehicle in need.

From a compliance perspective, the Saber Offroad Kinetic Recovery Rope range has been tested in a NATA accredited facility in Melbourne. Combined  with the testing the products have the required labeling so the product is fully compliant for sale in Australia.  It is important to note that not all kinetic ropes are created equal.  During the product development stage, a number of ropes were tested both from competitors in the market today, and from some alternative potential manufacturers, and the results were concerning.  Saber Offroad is proud of the quality, design and safety aspects of this rope range.

THE SHACKLES:

As part of the Ultimate Recovery Kit, Saber Offroad have included the uniquely fully bound heavy duty soft shackle. This shackle offers not only a 14,000KG minimum breaking strength, but industry leading protection against abrasion & impact. As with the other products in the Saber Offroad shackle range, this product is designed to be a safer, stronger, lighter and easier to use alternative to other shackles (both soft and metal).

Having tested the shackles in a NATA accredited facility in Melbourne, Saber Offroad shackles perform at a superior level compared to many other tested competitor products.  Having the unique binding over the UHMWPE soft shackle itself, gives those recovering their vehicle confidence that this product can not be easily damaged as a result of either abrasion or impact.  Many recovery points sold in the market were not designed with soft shackles in mind, so unrounded edges are common.  Whilst these will often not immediately cause soft shackles to fail, over time issues can be caused.  The binding on this shackle offers additional peace of mind.

When combining the Saber Offroad Fully Bound Soft Shackle with 8000kg Kinetic Recovery Rope, a far safer recovery will occur.  There are examples everywhere of the failure of unrated (and in some cases rated) metal shackles failing during recovery, and the damage to the vehicles and most importantly those in and around the vehicles is horrendous.  A well-matched, NATA tested, soft shackle and kinetic recovery rope virtually eliminates these risks.
